The Rockstar House is described as a collaborative house or a content house. Collaborative houses are a phenomenon in the social media world, allowing influencers and content creators to make videos together easily. The Rockstar House is comparable to the Vlog Squad and Team 10, similar collectives of YouTubers led by David Dobrik and Jake Paul respectively.

Six of the group’s 32 members live in the house full time; others film at the house everyday. And all day long, a stream of influential young internet stars come by to pay homage to the new guard.

The Rockstar House was formed in January by Zack Bernardez. After the break up of Command Station Media Group, many top social media managers and event coordinators followed Zack Bernardez in the creation of The Rockstar House. They are beginning to make large movements in the social media sphere by throwing their content based Halloween Party, Armageddon.

So-called collab houses, also known as content houses, are a tradition in the influencer world. Over the last five years they have formed a network of hubs across Los Angeles.

The Rockstar House

In 2014 members of an early collab channel called Our Second Life lived and worked together in what they called the 02L Mansion. The next year, nearly all the top talent on Vine moved into a large apartment complex at 1600 Vine St.

Soon after, YouTuber mansions were popping up all over the city. The Vlog Squad shacked up in Studio City, while Team 10, Jake Paul’s infamous YouTuber collective, rented a giant house in West Hollywood before eventually decamping to a mansion in Calabasas. Another group of YouTubers rented a $12 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills and deemed it the Clout House.

Collab houses are beneficial to influencers in lots of ways. Living together allows for more teamwork, which means faster growth, and creators can provide emotional support for what can be a grueling career.

“It’s a brilliant move for power players on these platforms to lift each other up,” said Sam Sheffer, a YouTuber and technologist. “‘Elevate others to elevate yourself’ is a saying, and it really rings true with this new generation of content creators.

“From a management perspective, it’s great,” he added. “It just means all the kids will focus on content.”

Now, the Rockstars have arrived — and everything about about their grandiose lifestyle is turning heads.
